| 2007:
2006: Barry just finished playing on Tony Bennett's upcoming "Duets' record, which featured Elton John, Bono, The Dixie Chicks and Elvis Costello. Once again, Barry played for the Rainforest Foundation's fundraiser at Carnegie Hall. The All Star Band, under the direction of Narada Michael Walden played the music of Woodstock- "Music of Social Change", and we backed up Sting, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Lenny Kravitz, and Cheryl Crow. Over 2 million dollars was raised for this great cause. Thanks to Trudie and Sting for making it happen. Barry recently performed at Radio City Music Hall as part of the orchestra backing Jay-Z in the recreation of his seminal "Reasonable Doubt" CD. The Roots provided a relentless groove. Gracing the stage that night was Beyonce, Foxy Brown, and thanks to technology, some previously unheard Biggie Smalls. Barry is currently working on his next CD, which will hopefully be out in 2007. |
